The leaves are Falling

Fall is finally really here in North Texas. We have been loving the cooler temps and the changes of the season. Jason and I have been walking alot throughout the neightborhood recently. This weekend we went on a walk and we noticed the air was really cold and crisp, we definalty felt like fall had arrived. We noticed a lot of people were burning a fire and so it got us in the mood to have one too. We have had 2 fires this week and are so enjoying it in our home. I had forgotten how much I loved the smell of wood burning fireplace.

It's beginning to be that time of year where blankets and comfort food are the best. Warm fall cinnamon candles are always great and snuggling up on the couch is fun.

Jason and I are celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend with my parents. We are very excited about great food and fun with family. Lots of pictures to come hopefully.

I can not wait to start decorating for christmas. I keep looking at all my storage containers just anxiously awaiting to put them up. Jason keeps looking at me like I am crazy, he tells me "are you nuts its not even thanksgiving yet". Usually over thanksgiving holiday is when the christmas decorations go up. It's always been a family tradition to begin Christmas over thanksgiving weekend. Eating a huge feast that my mom has been working on for hours and then begin the decorations and watching christmas movies. I love that!! I plan on keeping that tradition. I have such great great memories of the holidays as a child and now an adult and I hope to keep them coming. :)

What are some of your favorite thanksgiving holiday traditions? What food is your favorite on thanksgiving? I would love to hear your feedback and hopefully use some of your recipes in the coming weeks.

P.S. Congrats to Aunt Lee Lee and Terry for Tying the Knot this past weekend. We love you guys and are so HAPPY for you both. Welcome to the Family Terry!!!!

BIRTHDAY WEEKEND EXTRAVAGANZA

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!

What a weekend the Bloch family had. Over the weekend was my hubbys birthday. We had a great weekend celebrating his birthday. We were extremely blessed to have Jason's dad come into town for a great visit. I am so blessed to have such an amazing father in law. I feel like I have known him and his family forever. What a great feeling that is to be loved and accepted so willingly. We had a great time showing my FIL( father-in-law) around town and around our home. The boys worked on projects all weekend, and did your typical father/son stuff. Even though I rarely understood what they were doing or talking about I loved just following them around :)

I have attached some pictures of the projects that were done this weekend.

We ( Jason and my FIL) and I blissfully watching installed a new light fixture in our kitchen, which is just beautiful. It really looks like it was there from the beginning since it matches our cabinets so perfectly. Jason a lot got a Workbench and light for the garage, that the boys installed and put together. So now Jason has a "testosterone corner" which is what I call it. :)
Jason and I will be celebrating our 4 year anniversary this Christmas. We just got married this past June in 2008. Celebrating Jason's birthday this year was different than all the other birthdays we have experienced together. I felt more passionate about making his weekend the best ever. I wanted him to smile more than he ever has, laugh more and mainly just feel incredibly loved. Sometimes I think the men in our lives( husbands and dads) don't get the appreciation they always deserve. These wonderful men in our lives are so important to us and have changed our lives for the better. At least the men in my life have. :)

Pretty much the point to this blog is to say happy birthday to my hubby one more time ( I'm sure he's grateful that I haven't told you how old he is) and remind him one more time how much I appreciate him and love him for ALL that he does for me and the rest of the family.

Happy Birthday Jas. You deserve all the happiness and Love in the world.
P.S. I would love to put up before and After photos of our kitchen. We have painted and changed some areas and it is so much fun to see the "after" results. Another post when I have more time and not so sleep deprived.
