Nags Head, NC was the location filled with family, friends to celebrate my brothers wedding on the beach. Our vacation was family vacation/wedding celebration. We had so much fun hanging out on the beach, laying out by the our very own pool and then relaxing in the hot tub at night. It was the life... too bad it had to come to a end. Oh, did I mention how breathtaking Nags head is, wow it really a beautiful place to stay. We had a huge house that had at least 10 bedrooms and we had a ball from sunrise to sunset.
Jas and my dad went to see the Worlds largest lighthouse in Cape Hatteras. He took some pictures and said it had a breathtaking view. My brothers wedding was beautiful, simple filled with family and friends to celebrate their big day. The rest of the time was just plain fun, Frisbee on the beach, swimming in the ocean, shopping at the outlets malls( COACH HERE WE COME) and lots yummy food. I only have a few pictures, the rest were taken by the cameras that were laying around for the wedding( so hopefully I can get some of those pictures to post soon).

The pictures taken on the beac might work out to be a picture for our Christmas card..... always thinking...
We had a great memorial weekend and actually sad to see it come to a end. Happy to be home too, happy to get the cat from the vet been stuck to both of us since he got home. :) Well, I guess I better get back to cleaning house and doing all our laundry!
Hope everyone had a great Memorial Holiday! I am so thankful for all the brave individuals who have fought for our country and all the families out there. Happy Memorial Day to my hubby and grandparents who have served for our families and everyone.

Day to Day

I love Spring!

This week has been great in so many ways for me. I have had ounces and ounces of stress lately from school, getting projects, papers and group presentations done has been a full time job. I have successfully completed a HUGE presentation for one of my classes and that was my high for the week, feeling that accomplishment and success with the presentation going so well and having that class over is a great feeling. Words can not describe my happiness to know I have one more class completed. I will be done with spring semester next Tuesday, couldn't be more happier about that. Jas has been so wonderful to me, helping me deal with stress and pushing me along the way to keep reaching for our goals. I couldnt be strong if he wasnt there keeping me going. Love you! Since school is slowing down, I have finally been able to catch up on cleaning and laundry! Hooray! Jas and I go on vacation in 14 days... beach here we come. We will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary in 1 month 1 week. Can not believe we have been married for almost 11 months... I remember clearly our wedding day, feels like yesterday.

Here is a video that I had in my presentation that has moved me to tears, smiles and deep thoughts. I feel this video and concept of "Post Secrets" is very moving and humbling. I hope you all enjoy this and realize the depth that these people are showing in their secrets. Wow!

Kitchen Home Tour

Kitchen Edition
I am participating in Kellys Korner Kitchen Home Tours. She has a great website and right now there are great homes that are showing you their beautiful Kitchens. I have loved looking at everyone kitchens and have great ideas that I cant wait to work on. Here is our kitchen, it is still a work in progress as so many are, but we love it and spend so much time in ours. As a newlywed, I am learning more and enjoying more about cooking and just love it.

Facing the Kitchen from the living Room. We have a very open floor concept home.
Kitchen Desk facing the laundry room.

I love all this counter space, but sometimes Its difficult to decorate. Any Suggestions?

Some of my favorite Decor in the kitchen! My spring bunny is out! I love monogram stuff. Cant have enough. I also have a B monogram rug in from of my sink island.

Dinning Room area, decorated with my Egg wreath!

Can you see the Lights above the cabinets? We love them and they make a huge difference. Always try to find ways to incorporate lighting around the kitchen. Does anyone have suggestions about where I should put a Lamp in my Kitchen????
