ICE Exhibit

The ICE Christmas trees changed colors, too pretty

Gaylord Texan Ice Exhibit

*Over the Christmas holiday Alissa's parents came up to enjoy the holidays with Jason and I. We had a great time watching movies, enjoying family time and lots of laughter. Spending time with my parents is always fun and enjoyable. They warm my heart and make me smile always in way that nobody can. :) Mom and I decided to go to see the ICE exhibit at Gaylord Texan Resort. It was quite an experience to say the least, I have never been in such a beautiful, amazing, huge hotel. It by far exceeded our expectation. We both left the exhibit and the hotel just saying " WOW, never have we experienced anything like that. The Gaylord Resort was decorated for Christmas since it was the holidays and it made the tour that much better. I am posting some pictures of the exhibit and the resort.

The Christmas Tree inside the Gaylord Auborium. It was huge and breathtaking.

*The ICE exhibit was such a fun day. I hope we can tour again next year with the boys. :) The conference hall where the exhibit was displayed was a WARM temperature of 9 degrees. We had gloves, jackets, hats and scarfs and then before walking into the hall the helpers handed us a huge down jacket, we were defiantly surprised and thought to ourselves " why do we need this, we have a jacket?" The lady quickly said, you aren't going in here without it. So, later we learned why. We had so much fun looking around at the ice sculptures, many different sculptures where there like a 25 foot angel, life size colored ornaments, a candy room with gingerbread house , life size ice slides, and yes WE both slide down the slides. It was fun and cold but a experience mom and I will never forget. Lastly there was a nativity scene that was absolutely breathtaking. The workmanship, the beauty of the ice was so amazing. It was all life size throughout the exhibit and the glass was always different, clear as glass, hazy you couldn't see through and smooth like it was almost fake. All in all, we both had a great trip and are looking forward to more. Hopefully, Jason and I can go there to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. That would be amazing.
