A little of Everything..

*These are few of my favorite pictures from our honeymoon. This was my favorite trip so far that we have taken together. We look back at these pictures a lot, it reminds us of "happy times" together and vacation will come again. We are firm believers of " Work hard, Play Harder" and we need more of this is our life.

On boat heading to Snorkel on our honeymoon
Our Honeymoon in St. Maarten (06.18.2008)

Jason and I had a great time planting flowers for spring a couple of weekends ago. Here is the front flowerbed.

*I was watching Regis and Kelly this morning ( one of my ALL time Favorite shows) and was so happy to realize they were shooting in New Orleans this week. I am so excited about this week. Morning shows are my favorite, while I do not get to watch them everyday, the days I do I just love it.

*Jason and I went to Houston recently to see my parents for my birthday weekend. We had a great time, it was so relaxing and wonderful to be back there. We got married where my parents live and it was so great to see the area and remember the special memories that we will always have at Waterford harbor. I am looking forward to many many more trip down there this summer.. lots of sailing, swimming, relaxing , tanning and defiantly kayaking. Cant wait for summer. :)

*American Idol is on this week and I can not get enough of Kris Allen. Every week is sounds so better and better. It is a Arkansas boy, so I have to say I smitten with him. I have to show my Razorback pride and VOTE.. I expect all of my razorback fans on blog land to do the same. Looking forward to another interesting week of AI.

*Last week was crazy for Jas and I . We felt like the week would never end. Work was really busy for him and he was exhausted every night. School was busy busy, 2 tests and 1 project due in one week... i just wanted to scream. I thankfully survived and thrilled that this week is much calmer and less stressful. Hopefully, I can get some much needed cleaning done and errands ran.

**I have a question for all of my blog friends--- My hubby and I want to start a Marriage Devotional together and we are trying to figure out which one. If you have any suggestions please let me know. I would Love your recommendations.

*Well, I believe I have rambled enough. This is probably my 1st post where I actually do talk about a little bit of everything. That's a first.

Take Care.

Spring Has Arrived

The Grass is turning. Hooray!!!

Hello Spring.

We could not be any happier that spring has arrived in Texas. Every day when Jason comes home, he comments more and more about how the grass is changing colors and he is so excited. We are going to Calloway's this weekend to get some new flowers for pots and extra filler plants for existing pots. I am so looking forward to planting this weekend. The weather here as been PERFECT. I couldn't have asked for better weather while I have been home enjoying my spring break. 70s-80s all week... I know you are jealous. All our family up north in the Midwest you really should move to Texas.. just an idea. :)

I have taken some pictures of our yard to show what is changing. Our neighbors have already beaten us to the punch and have their yards ready for spring. I hope everyone is enjoying the 1st day of spring, I know I am. The greens and yellows are so vibrant. I love it!

Hooray! My Hens and Chicks lasted through the winter. Goal for weekend: Find a new pot for them. They are growing like a weed... Crazy!

We recently planted 2 more rose bushes with the one that was already planted here. We are looking forward to great things from these three this year. These are on one side of our shed in our backyard. One of the left is Texas Yellow rose, the other 2 are Gorgeous Reds.

Later this spring, we will clean up this area and make it a full rose bed with edging and more plants.

Look what I found today. My Purple flowers are growing all around the shed. I have no clue what they are called. Very popular in Texas.

I love the color contrast here...

I have one Questions to ask all my decorator blog friends. What should i put in this pot for spring? What colors would look good by my front door. Currently I have a silk arrangement now, it's just so easy. I am open to real or silk for the next arrangement.

HELP? ANY IDEAS??

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Busy Busy

Hello!!!

Wow, what a couple of weeks we have had here. We have been going and going. Where is the stop sign so we can take a break. That stop sign has finally arrived for us. I am on spring break this week and looking forward to getting a lot accomplished around the house, extra school work completed, errands and just play time. Jason had a relaxing weekend and hung out with friends. He is back at work this week and hopefully, it will be smooth one.

Jason and I became a Aunt and Uncle again on March 3rd, we are so happy to announce that my sister in law and her family welcomed a healthy, beautiful baby girl in to their family. Elizabeth Rae- We are so happy for them and feel so blessed to have a niece.

I believe spring is coming to Texas. The Bradly Pear trees have bloomed here already, tulips are popping up all over, everything is turning green. I am very excited. Everyday when I drive down our street something new has appeared in our neighbors yards. I love watching people fixing up their yards, planting flowers and just enjoying spring. I jump out of bed a little faster in the spring.. something new and happy about this time of year.

I recently got tagged to complete this list from one of my many blogging friends. Thanks Lyndsey for tagging me. Here is the list:

Who's Who

1. What is your husband's name? Jason

2. How long have you been married? 9 months and 16 days.. Yippee

3. How long did you date?We dated in Arkansas for 1 1/2 years and then moved to Texas and got engaged a year later. Total we were together before married 3 years. It was great timely for for us to get engaged.

4. How old is he? Not quite sure he would appreciate me telling everyone...

5. Who is taller? Jason is taller than me. I am 5''5 and he is 6''0. Not too bad.. i think its just perfect..

6. Who can sing best? We are both awful. I love to sing in the car, but that doesn't mean I am good. He rarely sings outloud.

7. Who is smarter?I would say we are at the same intelligence, it just depends on what we are talking about. I know more about house cleaning stuff, my job and care taking. He knows much much more about financial issues, his job, management etc. We are a team.

8. Who does the laundry? We both do out laundry. I do some and he does some. We try to work at a team and not just one of us doing the laundry. It can be a pretty big task in our house. I cant imagine what it will be like when we have kids.. Yikes.

9. Who pays the bills? We both do. We have our weekly talk and we pay them online.

10. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Jason does, we both love to sleep in the middle of the bed, sometimes we fight for the middle.

11. Who mows the lawn? Finally, a task that just JASON does. The lawn is my husband job. I mend the flowers etc and he does all the lawn work and I love it. He is so good at it, he loves it.

12. Who cooks the meals? I usually cook most of the meals. He is the grill-master 100%. Since we live in Texas, we grill out a lot- even in the winter. We try to share the cooking, but mainly I do most of it and he deals with anything that has to be grilled. He always used to cook when we were dating.... he got wrapped around his finger... then he stopped... he must have had a plan.

13. Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? I would say its pretty much equal... I can be a little stubborn at times... but he can too....

14. Who kissed who first? I kissed Jason 1st.... it was huge milestone.. very unlike me. All I can say is I knew what I wanted. :)

15. Who wears the pants? Umm... This one is tied... We both fight for the pants if that possible. I think there are times when he wears them and times when I do. We are pretty even on a lot of things... I love that we share everything.
